PHNIX Receives Heat Pump Industry's First EN 18031 Certification Issued by TÜV SÜD, Leading Compliance with EU RED

Guangzhou, April 10, 2025 – PHNIX is proud to announce that its IoT communication modules—models DTU1017, WIFI1004, and DTU1007—have successfully passed TÜV SÜD's cybersecurity testing and evaluation based on the EN 18031 standard, officially receiving the cybersecurity certification. This certification signifies that PHNIX’s products have met the EU’s Radio Equipment Directive(RED) cybersecurity requirements ahead of schedule. Following the attainment of the EN 303 645 certification in 2024, this achievement underscores PHNIX's commitment to integrating advanced cybersecurity measures into its products, setting a new benchmark for the industry.

The European Union has mandated that, effective August 1, 2025, all wireless devices must comply with the cybersecurity provisions outlined in RED Article 3.3 (d/e/f). The EN 18031 series has been adopted as the harmonized standard to fulfill these requirements by necessitating features such as identity verification, encrypted communication, and secure data storage to ensure robust device protection. PHNIX’s self-developed IoT communication modules passed the voluntary EN 303 645 cybersecurity certification in 2024 and further secured EN 18031 certification in March 2025.
